1. What is your craft? How did you learn it? I picked up jewelrymaking as a child, hanging out with my aunt and toying with her supplies as she created. when she passed i inherited all her beads and baubles and still put a little piece of hers in to everything i do.

2. What is your favorite thing about your craft? How sometimes your own abilities can suprise you, and how a piece tends to take on a life of its own as it gets completed.

3. How long have you done your craft? about ten years now i suppose, though i've onyl become very serious in the last year.

4. What is one piece of advice you'd give to new Etsy members? try to build up your selection quickly, and don't be discouraged if sales take a while to pick up!

5. If there's anything else you'd like to add, do so! in this crappy economy it is more important than every to stop pouring our money in to corporations and start supporting each other! Buy handmade whenever possible- it's worth a few more dollars to know you're supporting someone like you instead of walmart's ceo, or whatever.

1. What is your craft? How did you learn it?
I make jewelry using mainly semiprecious stones. I am self taught.

2. What is your favorite thing about your craft?
Finding the stones, deciding what I'll do with them and then making the pieces themselves. I really enjoy working with my hands and I don't get that much at my day job.

3. How long have you done your craft?
It's been about 5 years... Wow, I didn't realize that before!

4. What is one piece of advice you'd give to new Etsy members?
Don't worry too much about what people like: concentrate on what YOU like.

5. If there's anything else you'd like to add, do so!
Handmade items are made with passion by people who love what they do... and it shows in every little item! Handmade items have a soul...

1. What is your craft?: Paper crafts, cards mostly, but also bookmarks

2. What is your favourite thing about your craft?
I like that my craft can make someone smile. It's so great to receive a card in the mail among all the bills.

3. How long have you been doing your craft?
I started out scrapbooking about 11 years ago when I was 15, and slowly moved into cards and stamping in the past 3 years.

4. What is the one piece of advice you'd give to new Etsy members?
Well, I'm pretty new myself, but I guess to dedicate a specific amount of time to promote yourself within Etsy or otherwise, and stick to the allotted time. Otherwise you could be on Etsy until 3am, it's very addicting! And to be patient, it's only worth as much as you make it.

5. If there's anything else you'd like to add, do so!
I think we've lost some important personal connections with our loved ones--in the age of email, text messaging, twitter, Facebook, etc. It's very handy, but taking a few minutes to pick a card or something else handmade that suits someone, and reminds you of them, and makes you go "ooo, so and so would love that!" it goes a long way.

1. What is your craft? How did you learn it? I make bath and body products. I am pretty much self taught...trial and error...
2. What is your favorite thing about your craft?I enjoy creating something useful and helpful. I get enjoyment from people enjoying something that I have created for them.
3. How long have you done your craft? 2 years steady, but have been tinkering for much much longer.
4. What is one piece of advice you'd give to new Etsy members? be patient (and this is just a pet peeve...please mark when you have shipped my item!!)
5. If there's anything else you'd like to add, do so. Alway try to push yourself to be more creative...don't get caught in a rut. Always look for something new!

2. What is your favorite thing about your craft?
its fun to do :)

3. How long have you done your craft?
painting since I was little, other stuff I just picked up later but I honestly have no idea when I started

4. What is one piece of advice you'd give to new Etsy members?

Hello, My shop is www.Tissage.Etsy.com and I think your first feature on Adorkable Crochet looks great.

1. What is your craft? How did you learn it?
I have many (probably too many). In my etsy shop I sell my jewelry, my felt and straw hats, and my handknit handbags and scarves. My Mom taught me the basics of jewelry making. I've taken some metalsmithing classes but I don't currently have the equipement for that so I'm sticking with the wire work. I learned to make hats by taking a class from a fabulous milliner (Izzie Lewis). I taught myself how to knit about 10 years ago and have taught many others since then.

2. What is your favorite thing about your craft? It keeps me sane! I love all the different types of work that I do; if I'm not feeling inspired by jewelry I can always knit or work on a hat.
3. How long have you done your craft? I've been knitting for about ten years, making jewelry for 8 years and making hats for 2 years.
4. What is one piece of advice you'd give to new Etsy members? Make what you love and get very comfortable with your digital camera! You've got to balance the fun with the work. I've actually really come to enjoy taking and editing the photos and I had no idea how to do it at first but other Etsians were really helpful (Thanks Prettified!)

5. If there's anything else you'd like to add, do so! I'd just like to say what a big fan I am of Etsy and all the creative people who run it and sell on it. I'm constantly amazed.
